Pumps and droppers
Measure height with the pump or dropper fitted and the cap on. A pump can add more height than expected, and a dropper bulb should not press against the lid.
Folding cartons, rigid boxes and paper tubes from 500 pieces for serums, creams, jars and skincare sets. Production runs in our partner factory in Guangdong, China.
PackClarity makes skincare boxes in a partner paper packaging factory in Guangdong, China: folding cartons with or without inserts for single products, and rigid, magnetic and drawer boxes or paper tubes for regimen and travel kits. Every structure starts at 500 pieces per design; samples take about 7 days and bulk production about 20 days after approval.
We make the outer box and insert, not the bottle, dropper, pump or jar inside it.Most skincare lines use cartons for single products and a rigid or drawer box for kits.
| Box style | What it is | Best for | MOQ per design |
|---|---|---|---|
| Folding carton | Single-layer printed paperboard with tuck or lock-bottom ends; ships flat. | Serums, creams, cleansers and tubes sold one per box | 500 pcs |
| Folding carton with paperboard insert | Carton with a die-cut paperboard insert that holds the container upright. | Dropper bottles, pumps and glass jars that must not move | 500 pcs |
| Rigid lift-off or magnetic box | Wrapped greyboard box with an insert cut for several products. | Regimen kits and gift sets | 500 pcs |
| Drawer box | Rigid tray that slides out of a wrapped sleeve. | Trial and travel-size kits | 500 pcs |
| Paper tube | Round rigid paper tube with a matching lid. | Jars, balms and stick products | 500 pcs |
Skincare containers vary more in shape than most products, so measure the container exactly as it will ship.

Heavier glass jars benefit from a lock-bottom carton or an insert, so the base does not open or the jar does not rattle in transit.
Squeeze tubes need long, narrow cartons sized to the crimped end, which is usually wider than the cap end.
A kit box sells the routine, so plan the insert around how the products are used.
Lay the insert out in the order the products are used, so the kit explains the routine when it is opened.
Kits often mix a full-size cream with travel-size bottles. Send every container so each slot is cut to fit.
A paperboard insert keeps the whole kit paper-based and easy to recycle; EVA foam holds heavier glass more firmly.
Skincare cartons usually carry more required information than the front design suggests.
Every finish adds a production step, so confirm it on the physical sample rather than on a flat proof.
Metallic logos and borders in gold, silver or colored foil.
Raised or pressed logos and patterns that add texture without extra ink.
A velvety or low-sheen surface that also protects the print.
Gloss applied to selected areas to contrast with a matte surface.
Plan the launch date backwards from these stages.
| Stage | Typical time | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Quote and dieline | After you send container size and quantity | Box style, insert and finish are matched to the container and a dieline is prepared. |
| Sample | About 7 days | A physical sample is made so structure, insert fit and finish can be checked with the real container. |
| Bulk production | About 20 days after sample approval | Printing, forming, finishing, insert assembly and inspection. |
| Door to door | About 30-40 days from order | Includes sampling, production and shipping; the exact time depends on destination and shipping method. |
A skincare box can be quoted accurately once these details are known; artwork can follow later.
Answers to the questions skincare brands ask before ordering.
All structures start at 500 pieces per design: folding cartons with or without an insert, rigid boxes, magnetic boxes, drawer boxes and paper tubes.
No. PackClarity supplies the outer boxes, tubes and inserts. Send your container, or its drawing, so the box and insert are sized to it.
Yes. A die-cut paperboard insert inside the carton holds the bottle upright and keeps the dropper from pressing against the lid, while keeping the pack paper-based.
Yes. Rigid, magnetic and drawer boxes can take an insert cut for several products, laid out in the order the customer uses them.
About 7 days after the dieline and artwork are confirmed. Bulk production takes about 20 days after sample approval, and door-to-door delivery is typically 30-40 days from order.
The price depends on the box size, structure, insert, finish and quantity, so each project is quoted once those are known.

A cosmetic carton is sized from the finished container, with the cap or pump on and the label applied. Measuring the right dimensions, deciding the clearance and the insert, and sending a photo with a ruler lets a supplier draw the dieline correctly the first time.
Cosmetic box suppliers split into China box factories that start around 1,000 pieces, US printers and online services that start at 50 to 100 boxes, and platforms that route orders to partner factories. Which group fits depends on how many boxes per design you need and how fast you need them.
A skincare first order has one risk the packaging structure guide does not cover: whether the primary container itself protects the formula, since light- and air-sensitive actives like retinol and vitamin C degrade in the wrong container regardless of how good the box looks.
Skincare packaging material choice is driven by moisture and product barrier needs and label adhesion on curved surfaces more than by look alone, and getting either wrong shows up as a damaged or returned product.
Plan packaging specs around EU PPWR rules and US state-level EPR and labeling requirements before production.
